Here's A Number Of Ways Different Businesses Would Use Video On Their Business Website

As you're reading these, keep in mind that the way one business could use video for their business other businesses could use it that way too. Also, I'm only showing a few ways per business even though there are actually quite a few ways a business could use video. Your account manager can further discuss the different ways when you talk to them.

  • A bed & breakfast can show the amenities and activities in the area in one video and have a video for each room to show how a couple can re-connect or re-kindle their relationship (or whatever message you want to present).

It's been proven that a video of a room will outsell pictures of a room!  In part that's because music can set a mood, video makes images come alive when done right. When a website is the primary way for a person to pick a B&B it becomes very important that you're effectively showcasing your rooms, which video does very well!

  • An auto repair business could show their bays, show some of the tools they use to do their job, show their very comfortable waiting rooms, show different advantages they offer.

  • An auto insurance agency could show wrecked cars, stolen cars, cars with things stolen out of them with "Covered" boldly written across each image; you could hit on the claims process and how fast you are and how easy it is to do a claim; or you could create a video showing each staff member, what their expertise is, how long they've been doing it and have a short video of each introducing themselves.

  • A financial advisor could educate their customers using video. In person meetings can be time consuming, not to mention the travel expenses. Video can take the place of an in-person meeting, and the same message can be viewed over and over again

  • Travel agencies are now using videos to showcase vacation destinations for packages they are promoting. Potential clients who watch the videos feel as though they are taking a trip when they take this “virtual tour”. The video takes the viewer on a mini vacation where they get to see highlights of the local attractions, hotels, beaches, nightlife, and more … all from the comfort of their home computer!

  • Speaking of virtual tours, many real estate companies are now using video advertising on their websites. Instead of just seeing photos of a home, now you can see a walk-through tour of each room in the home, just as if you were actually there walking through it. A potential customer could watch the video and see little details that they would never be able to see in just photos.

  • Car dealerships are also benefiting from online video technology to advertise their vehicles. They sometimes show videos on their website of happy customers driving away in their new car bragging about the great deal they just got. Or they might show a video of the car being driven out on a winding, curvy road with the narrator talking about how great the car handles, or how comfortable the ride is. Some smart dealers actually take the time to create a virtual tour of each vehicle by videotaping the car's exterior, interior, trunk, engine compartment, the tires, and more.

  • A roofer could show samples of different kinds of roofs, or show a step by step process of adding a new roof to a home while showing the viewer why they're different from other roofing companies.

  • A church could create playlist for sermon series.

  • A Non-profit organizations could use video to  emotionally motivate their potential donors. Seeing why a person should donate is just simply far more effective than reading about it!

  • If you have an unusual way of doing something on your website like filling out a form, do a video showing step by step how to do it.  Make doing business with you easy!

  • All local businesses can benefit with a video message from the owner.  It could be a "hello" video, a "we guarantee ..." video, a "we're so confident ..." video, along with a hundred other types of video's.

When considering video for your business website, remember ...

  • Video consistently produces a higher response rate, compared to other forms of advertising.

  • Video speeds up decision buying by 72% vs. print, and comprehension and retention increases by 50% over a live presentation.

  • A good video presentation will tell your story exactly the way you want it to, time and time again, so it can be used for years!

Idea's for Creating a Video and Putting a Video On Your Website

  • Show how easy your product is to use, store, clean, take apart, or anything else that would help your prospects purchase your product
